Hey everyone!
Over the past weeks, we have received a significant increase in reports regarding violations of our Code of Conduct, including incidents of cheating, griefing, and toxic behavior. We want to take a moment to address this openly with our community.
We take these matters extremely seriously. Rematch is designed to be challenging, fun, and fair. Actions that undermine fair play harm the experience for everyone, and we are committed to ensuring a safe and positive environment for all players.
Over the past week, we've taken measures to sanction players who do not adhere and uphold our values.
Griefing: Players intentionally disrupting matches by voluntarily assisting the opposing team or scoring own goals are now subject to temporary bans of 3 days.
Toxic behavior: Players engaging in abusive language, threats, or persistent harassment will face bans ranging from 3 to 7 days, depending on the offense.
Cheating: Players found using cheats, hacks, or any form of unauthorized software to gain unfair advantage will receive indefinite bans.
Repeat offenders will face harsher penalties, which can lead to an indefinite ban. We encourage everyone to report players suspected of engaging in such negative behavior.
You can submit Player Reports through our official Discord server, while we are working on implementing a Player Report feature directly in the game, and through our website.
Our moderation team will continue to actively monitor in-game behavior. Our goal is to foster a competitive but respectful environment where players can enjoy Rematch to its fullest.
We want to thank you for your patience while we continue to work on player safety, improve our cheat detection systems, and make Rematch better everyday.
See you on the pitch!
